Vallée du Rhône
Second AOC labelled vineyard in France, the wine-producing region of the Rhone Valley extends on 44 000 hectares. The regulation of the "Appellation Côtes-du-Rhône" allows to use 21 grapes varieties, whose 13 red and 8 white, some as main grape type and others as minor type. The most used red grapes are: Grenache noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre and the white grapes are mainly: Grenache blanc and Viognier.
